And The Award Goes To.....

What little girl didn't spend a Saturday evening, once a year, with her eyes glued to the tv set watching the Miss America pageant?  Entranced by the spectacle of it all with the end result being a sparkly crown placed upon the bouffanted, hair sprayed, up-do'd head of the winner? Ahhhh... to be chosen!

Heck, I would have loved winning the cool, globe pencil sharpener Mrs.
Fisher (4th grade teacher) handed to the winner of the cow counting contest!
It was a way to keep us occupied on our field trip to the dairy farm. With nose
pressed against the school bus window I kept my eyes peeled for every
jersey cow in sight as we rolled down the road. Apparently, my classmate,
Mary, was much better at finding three extra cows that trumped my total.
A three measly cow difference and she got to walk up to the teacher's desk
to retrieve my her prize!  She was the chosen winner.

There is no pity party going on over here, though!  After all, I was voted
Miss Happy-Go-Lucky, twice.. in junior high and senior year of high school.
I've got a reputation to uphold and I plan on keeping it... LOL! So, let me
explain where this whole subject is leading to.  At this moment in time....
one where I have rediscovered my love of writing.... my reward is knowing
that someone out there has found me and gets a kick out of what I chat
about. Well, not only did some unknown person find me, she presented me
with this......
Bring out the gown!!!  Throw on the sash!!  And where is my sparkly
crown??!!  I received the Liebster Blog award from Kimberly at .  For those of you who aren't familiar
with the Liebster award, it is an award that a nominated blogger passes
along to 5 other bloggers all who have less than 200 followers.  It might
seem silly to some but having a reader hit the "follow" button means the
world to me!  It is like an award that says, "You're doing a great job...
keep at it because I plan on coming back!". So, thanks, Kimberly! You
made my day!

Now, after basking in the glow of this honor, I need to pick 5 blogs to pass along this award.  Not easy as there are so many deserving people!  Remember, the key is "less than 200 followers".  So dust off your ball gown and get ready to catch the sash and crown being tossed your way! Jennifer is a young mother who has learned the art of seeing the beauty in a piece that is unloved and make it shine and sparkle.... great view into making a house a home. Blogging since January, Kristie took that giant leap of faith and started her own place in the blog world. Generously showing how she goes about recreating a vintage inspired home. Amber's gift with words will have you in stitches.... did I just say that??!! LOL An incredible artist with a flair for vintage inspired creations.. just the sweetest person you'd ever want to meet. Jean has been blogging since March and the information about repurposing furniture is priceless.

Now, nominated bloggers, here are the rules to picking up your award.
1. Post about your win on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who presented you with the award: (make sure to follow their blog).
3. Copy and paste the award button to your blog (you can right-click on the Liebster label from my page, save it to your computer, then save to your blog).
4. Present the Liebster Award to 5 blogs that have fewer than 200 followers that you think deserve to be recognized.
5. Let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.

I hope you all will visit these women and hit their "follow" button.  And I would love it if you hit mine!  It's a great way to help a fellow blogger along in this sphere and you will reap the benefits of making a new friend!  Thanks a bunch!
